In honor of my retirement, the staff of Aransas Pass FD hosted a congratulatory luncheon.
Seldom do I find myself lost for words, but today I am struggling to express how much I value the relationships I built with these amazing men and women. Far removed from regrets, leaving APFD was a difficult decision and did not come with ease.
I’m forever thankful for the opportunity to have worked beside the finest firefighters I’ve ever known.
The award was inscribed with words that every chief aspires to leave in the wake of their departure: “A leader, a mentor, and a friend”
With sincere gratitude, I am honored.
